IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Micah Nelson Lehman
November 26, 2007 – November 25, 2025

Life is but a dash — a brief and precious gift between two dates. It is temporal here on earth, as we journey from our earthly home toward our eternal one in heaven.
On November 25, 2025, just one day shy of his 18th birthday, Micah Nelson Lehman stepped into the arms of Jesus — fully healed, fully restored, and finally home.
On November 25, 2025, just one day shy of his 18th birthday, Micah Nelson Lehman stepped into the arms of Jesus — fully healed, fully restored, and finally home.
Micah was adopted from Ethiopia at the age of five into the loving arms of Scott and Leslie Lehman of Nashville, Tennessee. From the moment he arrived, his contagious joy and radiant smile transformed every room he entered. That smile — the one his coach said could “light up a football stadium” — reflected the light of Christ within him.
He was a gifted athlete with a heart that beat for competition and connection. Whether sprinting down the football field, racing on the track, or chasing down a soccer ball, Micah ran with freedom and passion. He loved to sing, laugh, and wrap his arms around those he loved. His laughter echoed the joy of a boy who saw life as an adventure and heaven as his destination.
Micah’s story is one of love, redemption, and purpose. Though his time here was far too short for our hearts to comprehend, the impact of his life will ripple through generations. His story will be told — not as one of loss, but of victory, for Micah’s faith has now become sight.
He leaves behind a family who loves him beyond words — his parents, Scott and Leslie, his extended family, and countless friends, teammates, and brothers and sisters in Christ who were blessed to know him. He also leaves behind two loyal dogs, Shadow and Koda, who rarely left his side.
Through tears and trust, the Lehmans take comfort in knowing that Micah is now running streets of gold, free from pain, embraced by the Savior who knew him, loved him, and called him home.
Micah’s legacy will live on through In His Grip Ministries, as his story continues to turn the hearts of fathers to their children and awaken generations to the love and hope of Christ.
